NPH Group Brand Relaunch Story

Using brand to compete in a global marketplace

NPH Group are a leading occupational health and wellbeing provider. Their services include health surveillance, employment medicals, attendance management, health screening, health promotion and Drug and Alcohol.

NPH formed in 2013 to support local people in their communities in the north east of England. Over the years the business has gone from strength to strength and continues to grow.

They are now a leading provider to the aviation, oil and gas, chemical engineering, financial services, and higher education sectors.

The challenge

As NPH Group have grown and evolved, they needed their brand to reflect their growing size and scale and position them for future success.

  1. To be able to articulate their philosophy towards healthcare, and their offer
  2. To develop a brand that resonates with clients and elevates them on a global scale
  3. To deliver a consistent look, feel and messaging across every touchpoint
  4. To clearly set them apart from their competitors

The solution

  1. Evolution of name from Newcastle Premier Health to NPH Group
  2. Develop a modern and professional logo and creative identity based on NPH Group’s ethos of 6 pillars of healthcare
  3. Create their brand story underpinned with consistent messaging
  4. Launch and roll out across the full marketing mix and channels

The impact

For the first time NPH Group have a brand strategy that is underpinned by a consistent look and feel, reflecting where they are on their growth trajectory. Having clear brand guidelines and messaging has helped to deliver consistency across the website, digital marketing activity, event stands and collateral, packaging for new products, etc.

Developing a brand manifesto has helped the team to articulate a consistent story that resonates with prospective clients along their journey from introduction to signing contracts and beyond.

NPH Group Brand Transformation

In summary

Many small, regional businesses struggle to promote themselves on a national or global platform. NPH Group saw the importance of investing in a brand strategy and developing their own unique story in a way that would help them to gain traction with much bigger brands such as Virgin Voyagers, Financial Times and Ocado and develop a competitive advantage. “NPH Group had the pleasure of working with Sam Legget and Anna Shepherd from 360 Growth Partners, and their specialist associates, over the last 2 years to help us develop our identity and build a Brand that would project confidence into the marketplace. We achieved that aim and as a result we have seen a rapid increase in interest for the provision of our products and services in the UK, and now also opportunities to work internationally.

Growing and developing a brand and brand strategy is an ongoing process and we fully expect to seek the expertise of 360 Growth Partners in the future as we go from success to success.”

Mark Philpott, CEO of NPH Group

We said:

“360 Growth Partners worked with Mark Philpott, the senior management and broader team, to explore their brand positioning, how they could use brand to differentiate themselves and articulate their own unique ethos of healthcare, based on their 6 pillars.

For this project we brought together a creative team of designers and copywriters and facilitated the project from initiation through to roll out and beyond. Our ongoing support has helped execute the new brand, messages, and tone of voice across all elements of their marketing mix and has already supported some significant new contract wins.”
